Maths
In maths we have mental maths challenges, where we have no help at all and we do it independently. It is really challenging. We have been learning about place value, using sticks and ones. Recently we are learning about weight.  On the interactive white board there was a scale which we could see how much things weigh. Maths is so much fun.

English
We looked at a brilliant picture story called Journey. The story is about a little girl who goes on an exciting journey and finds a bird and makes a friendship. Last week we made our books about the Journey to enter a competition. Today we were writing an introduction for our forest school recount.

Science
In science we have learnt that you can grow a bean in tissue paper. We found out that it needed warmth, light and water.

Our class is a very happy place, because we have two lovely teachers, Mrs Van Duin and Mrs McKay and two lovely helpers Miss Knollman and Mr Driver.
